Guess I will see, but likely won't last.Galaxy S6 is a monster when it comes to specs and features. I tried putting a small strip of Kapton above the IC to apply a tiny pressure. The problem will likely be impacted by changes to the ambient temperature, might work different if in a hot case or your pocket, micro-flexing of the phone, or if the phone has been disassemble to have anything repaired. Those of us with this problem can just go buy another phone if we made it past warranty.

I am sure Apple knows exactly what the problem is, and that it is due to the original manufacturing, and has decided they don't need to do anything other than change the oven profile. Get another phone unless you work at a board shop and have a Bga rework station. This means there is nothing you can do short of having the part reflowed, reballed, or replace or changing pcb. Based on performance and physical inspection under a scope I would assume bad or probably cold solder joints that result in high resistance and intermittent connections to some of the pins. My belief is a manufacturing defect that occurred during the solder process of the IC that interfaces with the screen. I am an electrical engineer and I used to do reference designs for cell phones, so I thought since it is out of warrant and when I tried to get help they clearly told me to buy another phone, I would take a look inside. I tried all easy solutions but they all seemed like band aids and the problem never really went away. I have a 6 plus with same issue, or same symptoms.

But it did not alleviate the problem entirely. Maybe its my imagination, but it doesn't seem to be freezing nearly as often or as long (knocks on wood). Apple support recommended I try backing up to iTunes and restoring the phone using the Set up as New option. Restarting the phone doesn't really help, as it will randomly freeze again when using one of the aforementioned apps. Once it freezes, I have to press the lock button and then unlock it, and then everything works fine again for a period. When it happens, its usually a second or two after I open one of the apps in question. The freezing occurs most often within the Messages and Email apps, but I've had it happen in Safari, Settings, Calendar, etc. I can also double-press the home button to bring up multi-task view, and I can scroll through the open apps, but I can neither change to another app nor swipe apps up to close them. It will freeze exactly as you describe-home button works, parallax works, but touching the screen elicits no response. I've been having similar issues with iOS 8.1.3 on my six plus.
